"Portland Urgent Care offers the most incredible care for you and your family, from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. Molly and the crew will quickly triage and take great care of you. The professional staff on duty is remarkable, Josh is one of the best providers I have seen in years, he has a phenomenal bedside manner and takes kid-glove of every single patient. What a pleasure to know we have this amazing clinic and staff in Portland serving a wide range of illnesses. I cannot think of a better place in Portland, Oregon to go if you are sick and need urgent care. They are “WOW!”"
Short Wait & Attentive Staff
"I brought my girlfriend here when she came down ill. The wait was short and the staff was attentive. The doctor's bedside manner was good and he explained everything clearly. The nurses were friendly and comforted my girlfriend as she has some anxiety relating to medical visits. They offered us a home visit if we liked, though we opted to go into the office. I would recommend them for any short medical issues short of an ER visit."
Friendly, Kind & Professional
"I was from out of state & had a health issue. I had no problem being scheduled. Everyone was friendly & kind & professional. I certainly do not like feeling sick when away from home BUT if something were to happen again when I visit Portland, Portland Urgent Care would certainly be the ones I would go to!"
Pretty Amazing
"Great experience nurse Brandy and Practioner Christa were great with my young grandson! Not only did they take the time to make him comfortable as well as a pain-free experience, by listening to and treating him as an intelligent being but surprisingly Brandy made him comfortable and relaxed while drawing blood! Pretty amazing on an 8 yr old sick guy!"
We know that waiting for test results can be anxiety-provoking, that is why we provide quick results.
Rapid Strep
Strep throat is a bacterial infection that affects the back of the throat and the tonsils, which become irritated and swollen, causing a sore throat that's especially painful when swallowing. You may get white or yellow spots, or a coating on the throat and tonsils, and the lymph nodes in the neck may swell and become tender to touch. It’s important to be treated with antibiotics if you do have Group A Strep, because if untreated, the Strep antibodies can travel through your bloodstream and deposit in your kidneys and heart valves.
Test results are available in about 15 minutes.
Urinalysis
Many illnesses and disorders affect how your body removes waste and toxins. The organs involved in this are your lungs, kidneys, urinary tract, skin, and bladder. Problems with any of these can affect the appearance, concentration, and content of your urine.
Symptoms of a urinary tract infection include urinary frequency, urgency and burning. If the infection spreads to your kidneys, it can also cause back pain, vomiting and fever.
The test takes only a few minutes to do.
Urine Pregnancy Test
A urine pregnancy test can find the HCG hormone about a week after you've missed a period. If you’re late for your period or having pelvic pain or abnormal vaginal bleeding, we will run a rapid urine pregnancy test.
Test results in just a few minutes!
Hemoccult Test
If you’re worried about blood in your stool, we can do a hemoccult test during your exam to determine the most appropriate treatment plan.
Test results available in just few seconds.
Rapid Mono
Mononucleosis (mono) is an infectious disease caused by a virus. The Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is the most common cause of mono, but other viruses can also cause the disease. The symptoms of mono include fatigue, swollen glands and a sore throat.
A simple fingertip blood test is done for mono.
Glucose
Glucose, a type of simple sugar, is your body's main source of energy. If your blood sugar is too high (hyperglycemia) or too low (hypoglycemia), it can cause serious complications.
The simple fingertip blood test results are available in minutes.
Rapid Flu
Influenza symptoms include fever, chills, sore throat, diarrhea, cough, runny nose, body aches, headache, and fatigue. We test to detect the presence and type of the class of Influenza virus: A or B. Samples are usually taken from the nose or the mouth.
If you do have symptoms of the flu, it’s important to come in as soon as possible because antiviral medicine works best if you start it within the first 48 hours of symptoms and helps prevent serious complications of influenza (like pneumonia and dehydration).
A rapid test can diagnose influenza in less than 20 minutes.
