TESTING IS SIMPLE AND PAINLESS
Food allergy is an immune system reaction that occurs soon after eating a certain food. Even a tiny amount of the allergy-causing food can trigger signs and symptoms such as digestive problems, hives or swollen airways. In some people, a food allergy can cause severe symptoms or even a life-threatening reaction known as anaphylaxis.
Diagnose your Allergy
To diagnose your food allergies, we draw a blood sample to measure food-specific IgG4 antibodies using the ELISA method for the assessment of delayed food allergies. IgG4 stands as the most scarcely found subclass of IgG within the bloodstream, comprising less than 5% of the overall IgG levels under standard physiological circumstances. Nonetheless, in the event of prolonged exposure to allergens, there is a significant surge in IgG4 concentrations, leading to a robust IgG4-mediated response. Unlike its counterparts, IgG4 possesses an exceptionally high attraction towards allergens. Consequently, for the evaluation of long-term food sensitivities, IgG4 is more suitable than the aggregate IgG measurement.
